A HUGE well done to our Year 2 class who visited the Ancient High House in Stafford this week.
They travelled through time from the Tudor period to the Stuart period to the Georgian period to the Victorian period and finally to the Edwardian period.
They looked at changes to the building during each historical period and discussed which materials were used for everyday objects and why.
The children dressed up as servants, lords and ladies and sorted various items into what the rich would have and what the poor would have.
They made a wattle and daub wall and tried to construct their own frame for a Tudor building. Their enthusiasm and behaviour were outstanding throughout the day!
As always, they were a credit to the school and made us extremely proud.
Very well done to our Year 2 time travelers, what a wonderful day of history learning!
