A HUGE well done to our Year 6 class who travelled back in time to take part in a special workshop to enrich and enhance their learning about World War Two.
The children thoroughly enjoyed learning all about the Women’s Land Army who kept the nation fed during the war. The children explored a wide range of artefacts.
They found out how rationing worked and learnt how to use a rationing book.
They discovered what life was like as a Land Girl and explored life on the farm, crops, tools of the trade, milking and butter churning and compared recruitment propaganda with first-hand accounts.
The children showed great interest throughout the day and were a credit to the school.
Well done to our Year 6 historians, we are proud of you all!
