Very well done to all of our children for their interest and enthusiasm when taking part in Anti-bullying Week 2021. It was wonderful to see everyone wearing odd socks to start the week and to celebrate that we are all unique and equally special in our school.
Every class has been fully involved in activities to promote working together to prevent bullying in our school. We believe very strongly in promoting positive relationships and our aim is to spread the anti-bullying message throughout school and the local community.
This year’s theme – One Kind Word – aimed to show that kindness is more important today than it has ever been. The isolation of the last year has underlined how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. In a world that can sometimes feel like it is filled with negativity, one kind word can provide a moment of hope. It can be a turning point. It can change someone’s perspective. It can change their day. It can change the course of a conversation and break the cycle of bullying.
We are very proud to have achieved the bronze level ABQM (Anti-bullying Quality Mark) status for our school and we are now working on achieving the silver award.
Our school Anti-bullying Policy is available from the school office.
Thank you to everyone for supporting Anti-bullying Week 2021 in our school!
LET’S WORK TOGETHER TO SHOW THAT BULLYING BEHAVIOUR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT HOLDEN LANE!
