A HUGE well done to our pupils from Year 6 who became BBC Radio Stoke superstars this week. We were extremely proud to be selected as ‘School of the week’ and to be featured on Lee Blakeman’s breakfast show. We were delighted to welcome Lee to Holden Lane, show him around our school and record the feature which was then broadcast on Tuesday morning.

Following the visit, we were surprised to receive an invitation to join Louise Stones for her BBC Radio Stoke Book Club in the afternoon. Our Year 6 pupils read an extract from a classic children’s novel and provided the listeners with two clues. This feature went out live on air and it was super exciting to be on the radio twice in one day!
The children represented Holden Lane wonderfully well, they took part with great confidence and made us all burst with pride! Both radio presenters contacted the school afterwards to say that it had been a pleasure working with such fabulous children!
WELL DONE YEAR 6 ~ YOU ARE OUTSTANDING AMBASSADORS FOR OUR SCHOOL!
